Dr. Alejandro Oscar Chueco was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and received his medical training at the Universidad de Buenos Aires. He graduated in 1989 with a specialty in surgery. Dr. Chueco has been practicing medicine for 35 years and FUE for the past 17 years. At his clinic, Injerto Capilar Argentina in Buenos Aires, Argentina Dr. Chueco performs shaven FUE procedures and handles about 3400-4000 grafts per patient in order to obtain optimum results. He also is involved in BHT (body hair transplant).
Dr. Alejandro Chueco performs surgery only using the FUE technique in a modern facility, fully accredited and designed specifically for hair restoration. He has perfected the FUE technique to provide more naturalness, greater density and coverage in hair restoration surgeries.
Dr. Chueco has developed numerous tools for counting follicular units and for the control of the average follicular extraction time, as well as for the classification of the units according to the number of hairs. This results in a higher quality of extraction, greater implantation density and, consequently, greater coverage of the scalp. Dr. Chueco believes that harvesting a greater number of grafts in a procedure is imperative to help patients achieve their goals in hair restoration, and that is why it performs megasessions of up to 4000 ufu per surgery.
He performs procedures, on average, from 3500 to 4000 grafts of follicular units per patient, a cutting-edge approach that has raised the standard in the field of hair restoration in Latin America.
